By OUR REPORTER
The situation has added to existing tensions within the party, raising questions about its cohesion as political activities gradually build toward the 2027 general elections.
The NDC is facing fresh internal uncertainty following a wave of resignations that have stirred concerns about the party’s stability.
This is also as some court cases are imminent challenging what have been described as registration irregularities of the party by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Among those resigning is Aliyu Adamu Salisu, who made his quiting of the party known through a resignation letter addressed to the Ward Chairman of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), Kubwa Ward in Abuja. He gave personal and political direction as reason for his leaving.

Details surrounding the resignations remain sketchy at the time of filing this report, but sources within the party indicate that the development may not be unconnected with ongoing leadership disputes and realignments.
Party insiders suggest that disagreements over direction, control, and strategy have intensified in recent weeks, leading to growing dissatisfaction among some members.
