Ladoja, Alasoadura, Galadanci, Lagos, Osun monarchs react to death of Isolo prince, Adefaka

Former Governor of Oyo State and an Ibadan monarch, His Royal Majesty Oba (Alhaji) Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, has sent his message of condolences to the family of late prince of Isolo Akure South, former banker and Galadima of Akure Land, Alhaji Kasumu Yesufu Adefaka.
He said, “Please accept my condolences on the demise of your beloved father, Alhaji Kasumu Yesufu Adefaka. By all that I have read since his death and noticed from his children especially you, he lived a life that was impactful to many. May Allah grant him a repose in Al-Jannah Firdaus. Amiin.”
Also, former Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs and Senator representing Ondo Central at the Nigerian Senate, Senator Tayo Alasoadura, described the late prince of Isolo, former banker and Galadima of Akure Land, Alhaji Kasumu Yesufu Adefaka, as a great man.
He said this in his reaction to demise of the former official of the defunct Old Ondo State Cooperative and Produce Marketing Union (OSCPMU), who died in the early hours of Saturday January 4, 2025 at the age of 104.
Senator Alasoadura described Alhaji Adefaka, a prince both of Akure and Isolo kingdoms, maternal and paternal, respectively, as a good friend of his late father, “Please accept my condolences,” he said.
Also on Wednesday, Galadiman Geri Sokoto and Chairman of Sokoto State Water Board, His Royal Highness Alhaji Aliyu Attahiru Galadanci, called to commiserate with The Adefaka Royal Family on the loss of their patriarch, Alhaji Kasumu Yesufu Adefaka.
He said, “It is with rude shock to learn that we have lost our father. My condolence goes to all of you, the children and the entire family.
“May Allah grant all of you the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, as it is only Allah that gives life that has taken the life of our father.
“I pray to Almighty Allah to repose his gentle soul in Al-Jannah Firdaus,” he said.
In the words of National Coordinator of Muslim Media Watch Group, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, about the late Galadima of Akure Kingdom, he said, “Several accolades and tributes in honour of a great Leader and model for the righteous. Al-Jannatul Firdaous in-shaa-Allah!”
In the meantime, the Olubosin of Ifetedo Kingdom, Osun State, His Royal Majesty Oba Akinola Oyetade Akinrera, Latiiri I, Adefaka, a son of the late centinarian, prayed God to grant the children the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“On behalf of myself and the good people of Ifetedo Kingdom, I commiserate with you over the transition to glory of our father, Prince Kasumu Adefaka, at the ripe age of 104. I pray for Almighty God to forgive him all his shortcomings, rest his soul in perfect peace, and provide the family with the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“God will grant you the children good health and long life to live longer than Baba,” the Osun State monarch prayed.
In the condolence message the Alara of Ilara Epe, Lagos State, His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr.) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, he said, “Please accept my heartfelt condolence on the demise of your patriarch and beloved Dad. May Almighty Allah accept his soul and grant him Aljannah fidaus.”
