President Buhari endorses no APC faction in Kano – Presidency

In a statement Saturday, the Presidency of Nigeria countered a public statement by one of the factions of the All Progressives Congress in Kano State, which claims that it has received the endorsement of President Muhammadu Buhari.

It said President Buhari supports APC as a party and then urged that no faction should make any such claim.

Making this known in the statement, copy of which was sent to The DEFENDER, was Malam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, who said the claim was not true.

“This is blatantly untrue. This cannot happen when matters are awaiting adjudication by the courts.

“To be clear on this one, President Buhari has not endorsed any faction.

“His support is for the All Progressives Congress as a Party, united and strong, and not of any faction.”
