Nnamdi Kanu’s Radio Biafra signal Jam is ‘good riddance to bad rubbish’ – CSO

A Civil Society Organisation, Nigeria Integrity Movement (NIM) has commended the current management of National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), under Professor Armstrong Idachaba for the success recorded against the pirate station,’ Radio Biafra’ .

According to Kunle Ajakaiye, the image maker of the group, said the giant strides by the NBC against the IPOB radio used in terrorising and instigating divide and rule tactics in Nigeria showed the level of commitement to Nigerian project by the current management of NBC.

He maintained that the Independent People Of Biafra (IPOB) radio had been a cog in the wheel of progress of Nigeria in the last two and half decades, saying the current management deserved accolades.

Ajakaiye pleaded with current NBC leadership to flash it’s monitoring on other suspicious broadcast radio stations so as not to be engaged by the Nnamdi Kanu led IPOB ‘Radio Biafra’.

He also urged the management not to relent in its efforts to rid Nigeria of antagonists whose intention is to bring down the government at all costs, stating that efforts and decisions against some broadcast stations that erred during the Endsars and aftermath of the nationwide lockdown against the global pandemic of COVID-19 by NBC was highly commendable.

‘This shows very sinceely that the Commission had rejigged its broadcast monitoring, especially as the current Ag Director General is grounded in that area’.

‘We are also not unaware of it’s quaterly reports that had sanctioned many broadcast stations in the country over some infractions.’

‘This had gone to show that there is ‘a round peg in a round hole’ in the current leadership of NBC.’ He said.
