Papa Kasumu Yesufu Adefaka was a great person that missing his burial ceremonies was a big mistake.
These were the words of Attah of Aiyede Kingdom, Ekiti State, South West Nigeria, Oba Alhaji AbdulMumini Adebayo Orishagbemi, while reacting to the demise of late Isolo prince and former banker, Alhaji Kasumu Yesufu Adefaka, on Wednesday January 8, 2025.
The Attah, who spoke with journalist son of the deceased, Prince Bashir Adefaka, using him as point of contact to sympathize with the entire Adefaka Royal Family of Isolo, said, “How did it happen that Baba would die and it was on the pages of the newspapers I would know about it?”
He said, “In such painful situation, I would come to the Isolo home of the late great man, I would first visit the Osolo of Isolo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Edward Adewole, and he would have expectedly escorted me to the house of the great leader, who spent his life serving Allah, developing humanity and bringing up goodhearted children like I have seen in many of his children, especially you.
“However, it is not yet ended because we still await you, the children, to announce to us on what date we are going to celebrate the life of the good man. Baba was exceptionally good, great and self contented.
“Carry me along in your plans and arrangements to accord him a very grand celebration of life,” the Attah said in his message to The Adefaka Royal Family on Wednesday.
The paramount ruler prayed that Allah grants the departed soul of the centinarian, Alhaji Kasumu Adefaka, a repose in Al-Jannah Firdaus.
