Zamfara ex-Gov Yari donates N1m, 30 bags of grains to family of late Journalist

Former Governor of Zamfara State and currently Senator, AbdulAziz Abubakar Yari, has donated a cash of N1 million and 30 bags of assorted grains to the family of late Hamisu Danjibga, a Journalist working with Voice of Nigeria (VON) till his death by murder last month.
The DEFENDER reports that the veteran Journalist was killed by unidentified persons who abducted, killed and dumped his remains in a soakaway near his house.
Senator Yari made the donation while condoling members of the Correspondents’ Chapel of Zamfara State Council of Nigerian Union of Journalist, at his country home of Talata Mafara in the state on Sunday.
He described late Hamisu Danjibga as a hard working journalist, who discharged his duty with fear of Allah.
He further said that late Hamisu Danjibga would continue to be remembered for his dedication to duty.
The former governor prayed to Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
In his response, the Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel, Mr. Sani Haruna Dutsinma, thanked Senator Yari for the gesture.
