Collation of Anambra governorship election begin
On Sunday, that is the second day of the Anambra Governorship Election, after voting on Saturday, the collation of results has begun and is ongoing at the INEC headquarters in Awka, the state capital.

11:45 am: Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Professor Florence Obi, is the State Collation and Returning officer for the election.
10:53 am: The Convener of the Situation Room and Country Director of Action Aid, Nigeria, Mrs Ene Obi, gives an assessment of Saturday’s election based on the observation of the group.
She says the poll was generally peaceful with all relevant stakeholders putting up their best. Despite the glitches, Obi stated that the election started early but voting commenced late in over 53 per cent of the locations observed by the group.
She commended INEC for harping on priority voting for the physically challenged and elderly, as well as the security personnel for their civil and cordial composure within and outside polling units.

9:38 am: Operatives of the Nigerian Army and Nigeria Police Force beef up security around the INEC office in Awka ahead of the collation of the results of the election.
The collation exercise is scheduled to commence by 11 am as results from 19 of the 21 local governments have been brought to the centre.
