TRIBUTE: Late Hon. Justice AbdulKadir Orire, CON

By ABDULLAHI IBRAHIM

The death of Retired Hon. Justice Sheikh Abdulkadir Orire, CON – Sarkin Malami and Marafa of Ilorin is a sad news coming too soon after the demise of his counterpart in Niger State Late Hon. Justice Sheikh Ahmad Lemu – also Pioneer Grand Kadi of Niger State President Islamic Education Trust (I.E.T.) of Nigeria.

We should however be thankful to Almighty Allah that these great Scholars of Islam have left legacy of Islamic education, commitment, dedication and awareness that true Muslims all over the Country could build upon.

Rtd Justice Abdulkadir Orire would for long be remembered for promoting Islamic and western-oriented education to the highest level not only in Kwara State but all over the Federation.

The duo of Sheikh Ahmad Lemu & Sheikh Abdulkadir Orire have completed the assignment Allah gave them and have returned to their Creator – Almighty Allah.

Until his demise Sheikh Abdulkadir Orire was the Chairman of Islamic Missionaries’ Association of Nigeria, Grand Patron & Chairman Board of Trustees of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria – a Muslim Youth Body formed in 1954 to enlighten Muslim students on the teachings of Islam in-order so as to remain true believers in one indivisible Almighty God.

With the death both Hon. Justices Ahmad Lemu and Abdulkadir Orire – a new dawn has begun for Muslim Ummah in Nigeria.

This is a challenge that surviving Muslim Leaders, Scholars and Politicians must face by re-dedicating themselves anew to the teachings and practices of Islam to secure Allah’s mercy and blessings as they too will sooner or later join the departed.

It is my prayer to Allah subuhanahu wata’ala to reward these too great Leaders and all our Parents as well as Scholars bountifully for their good deeds, forgives their mistakes and grant them Al-Jannatul-Firdaous.Ameen
