Sultan of Sokoto attends Usman Dan Fodiyo Mosque event, as Ramadan Tafsir ends today

Nigeria’s multifaceted leader and Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, on Tuesday took part in the Ramadan Tafsir programme of Sheikh Usman Dan Fodiyo Mosque in the seat of Caliphate.

The Sultan, who returned to the country after visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he had performed Umrah, the Lesser Hajj, and mainly prayed for the good of Nigeria, Sokoto State and continued success of his Sultanate, seized the opportunity afforded him by the Tafsir event to speak to the hearts of leaders of Nigeria on the need for upping the standard of their performances.

The President General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), who spoke in Hausa, urged those in authorities at various levels of governance across the country to take creation of jobs and welfare development for the youths as priority.

Sultan Abubakar, who also spoke to the consciousness of wealth people especially the Muslims, said they should see commitment to doing of good work towards fellow human beings as a duty that should not go with Ramadan as the all-important Holy Month rides to an end.

He said wealth people should help the less privilege in way that the poor people will not feel neglected and that doing this must transcend the month of Ramadan to being a continuous act of worship.

At the Sheikh Usman Dan Fodiyo Mosque on Tuesday April 18, 2023 equivalent to Ramadan 27,1444 A.H., the Sultan was received by members of the Malamai led by Sheikh Zaruk Liman in the Tafsir al-Qur’an.

The DEFENDER reports that the Sultan will also attend the End of Ramadan Tafsir programme holding at the Sultan Muhammad Bello Mosque in Sokoto at 5pm today.
