In some ways, Ali, a 40-year-old mother of three, had been buffered from the long and brutal 2016 presidential campaign.

At her polling station on Tuesday, she was greeted warmly by neighbours, even the ones whose cars bore pro-Trump stickers.

It might be too early to announce, but Donald Trump, the 45 president-elect of the United States of America, may have changed his mind on the proposed complete ban of Muslims.
Reports say Trump has removed the statement from his campaign site. Now, a search for that statement redirects people to a different page, where searchers are encouraged to donate to his campaign.
