He made the call as Special Guest of Honour during the commissioning ceremony of ultra-modern Jumu’at mosque built by Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, who is the Member House of Representatives, representing Birnin Magaji/Kaura Namoda Federal Constituency of Zamfara State.

At the event, held in Birnin Magaji town, headquarters of Birnin Magaji Local of the state on Friday, the Sultan said the importance of unity among Muslims could not be over emphasised.

Sultan Abubakar, who only Friday February 23, 2024 had just concluded a three-day official visit to Oyo State where he commissioned the newly redesigned and renovated Iseyin Central Mosque, Iseyin in the South West state, was ably represented at the Zamfara event by the Emir of Mafara, Alhaji Bello Barmo.

He, further, said there was no better time than now for Muslims to close ranks and play low on differences among themselves, while also urging them to always pray for return of peace to Zamfara and Nigeria in general.

The Sarkin Musulumi of Nigeria, then called on the adherents of Islamic faith to emulate good example of Hon. Sani Jaji, who had just built a beautiful house for Allah, by building more lslamiyya schools and mosques.

He appealed to Muslims to double their efforts this coming Ramadan in assisting one another.

In his remarks at the occasion, Governor of Zamfara State, Alhaji Dauda Lawal, called on the Federal Government to put more efforts in tackling the insecurity in the state and called on the Muslim Ummah to continue to pray for success of the security agencies in fighting the banditry in Zamfara State.

Also speaking, Hon. Sani Jaji thanked all those that attended the event among several dignitaries both within and outside the state and prayed for their safe return to base.
