By KEMI KASUMU

I am once again obliged to respond to the last statements of Hon Alhassan Ado Doguwa dated 8th, August, 2024 where he was gloating over his alledged violence and allegations of murder.

These were the words words of Kano State House of Representatives Member, Hon AbdulMumin Jibrin, in the latest release by his Media Aide, Sani Ibrahim Paki, dated 10th August, 2024 and copy of which was sent to The DEFENDER on Sunday August 11.

Hon Doguwa had recently told Hon Jibrin that he had no murder case hanging on his neck but he was swiftly replied.

Accordibg the statement, the Kano’s Federal Lawmaker on the platform of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) said the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s fellow National Assembly from Kano, Doguwa, appears to be in a hasty celebration of court rulings in respect of a single incidence while it is a public knowledge that 17 other allegations of violence, arson and murder are hanging on his neck.

“I have no doubt, that no matter how long, the long arms of the law will catch up with him. The case of OJ Simpson in the United States of America should serve as a reminder to Doguwa.

“Doguwa has repeatedly tried so hard to drag others, especially his party leaders into the issues I raised with him as a result of his constant false and unwarranted attacks and insults to Kwankwaso. The reality is that, this matter is about Hon Alhassan Ado Doguwa, him and him alone.

“It is about his reckless, insultive ulterances and divisive character which he deploys to malign Kwankwaso and deepen the feud in Kano. Today, Doguwa stands tall as one of the biggest obstacles to the peace in Kano. This may be a symptom of poor upbringing, he must therefore be cultured and put into his senses.

“In his usual antics, Hon. Alhassan Doguwa has made a spirited but futile attempt to drag my name into the sordid mess that defines his political life by bringing up an isolated political clash that occurred in my constituency in 2019.

“I take pride in the fact that unlike his, my name has never been synonymous with violence, alledged murder or divisive tendencies and my words always foster peace and harmony.

“The incident in question was neither orchestrated nor planned by anybody. It was a spontaneous clash between supporters of rival political parties. In a clear demonstration of leadership and responsibility, and without gloating or making insensitive comments over the unfortunate incident, I visited some of the victims and offered my sincere sympathy to all involved.

“On the other hand, one can easily see where such violent incidents are carefully planned, orchestrated and used as a vehicle for winning election. And this belligerent political footprint is a recurring decimal in Tudundunwada/Doguwa Constituency, with Doguwa appearing as the alleged mastermind.

“The troika of popularity, kindness and quality representation is the vehicle that always takes me to political office not violence, uncouth remarks, murder, divisive and self-serving representation.

“I have never denied nor hidden my relationship with the President. I was one of his early campaign Managers before reuniting with my Mentor and the man who nurtured and supported me and many others including Doguwa in politics, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. I will never be detered from defending Kwankwaso, Governor Abba and the government of Kano state from predators like Doguwa.

“A peaceful Kano or otherwise, will have consequences on the country. I strongly believe people like Doguwa are the biggest enemies of his party and the President because of such delibrate divisive and reckless actions and utterances which is deepening the already tensed atmosphere in Kano,” Hon AbdulMumin Jibrin said.
