Under me, you have conducive environment for business – Governor el-Rufai assures Kaduna metropolitan youth
Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai of Kaduna state on Tuesday assured youths from Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Igabi and Chikun local government areas of a more conducive environment and the necessary training to advance their business.
The state governor went on a thank you visit to conglomerate youths at the Central Market in Kaduna when he met with the association of young entrepreneurs in the business of sales and repairs of phones and ICT accessories.
El-Rufai sympathized with them over the recent crisis, he reminded them of his duty to protect the lives and property of the residents of the state, stating that in every crisis, it is young persons that suffer the most.
He commended the association for its members’ contribution to peace during the recent crisis.
He complimented them for their calm and non violent behaviour during the recent crisis and lauded their devotion to entrepreneurship and understanding towards a peaceful coexistence among them.
The state governor advised them, that the future of the state and Nigeria is in their hands, they should not show any forms of violence and embrace peace.
He assured them that having organised themselves towards staying in peace, the state government will support them towards the development of their business.
He called on them to collect their PVCs, as government is ready to create an electrical and electronics academy at Kaduna State University (KASU), as the course is free to assist them to run their programme in their fields.
“Their enrolment on education will update them on the modern technology on how to handle electronic devices as the state government will be responsible for their fees comes 2019,” he said.
He assured them of permanent site, even though, they are now in a rented place, the state government will procure a bigger place for them to ease their business.
He urged them not to allow themselves to be used by sentiments to divide them, but work together to develop themselves to live in peace.
The chairman, Phones and Laptops Village Association of Kaduna State (PALVAKS), Ibrahim Baba commended the state Governor’s efforts during the crisis saying that this was the first time crisis in Kaduna was curtailed within a short time.
He assured the state government of 100% support to live in peace.
