Nigeria’s leading opposition, Atiku Abubakar, receives invitation to appear before US Congress

The DEFENDER reports that Head of INRI Spiritual Evangelical Church, Oke Afa, Isolo, Lagos, Nigeria has recently predicted the idea of USA invitation to Atiku would happen in not distant future suggesting a shift in the permutations for 2027 political direction in the country.
Nigeria’s leading opposition leader and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has received an invitation to appear before the United States Congress.
Von Batten Montegue, a Washington DC based lobbying firm, revealed this through his X handle that Atiku Abubakar has been invited to the US by an unnamed “influential” congressman who also wants Atiku Abubakar to speak to the US Congress as his special guest during his visit. He said the invitation was offered to Atiku Abubakar through a telephone conversation with the “influential” congressman.

Von Batten Montegue revealed that while Atiku Abubakar accepted the invitation, he made it clear that he is currently focused on the domestic issues facing Nigeria under its current leadership. Hence, the former vice president of Nigeria will honour the invitation at a latter time as he is currently needed at home.
“During a productive phone call between former Nigerian Vice President @atiku and a senior, influential member of Congress, the Congressman extended a personal invitation for the former Vice President to visit Congress as his guest. Vice President Atiku graciously accepted but made it clear that he is currently needed at home in Nigeria, but will ensure that he visits Congress soon. That response reflects a statesman shaped by experience, guided by discipline, and grounded in the temperament required for leadership, qualities often associated with America’s most respected Presidents,” Von Batten Montegue wrote.
The lobbying firm subsequently criticized president Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his recent remark in which he blamed his political rivals for the worsening insecurity in the country, insinuating that his political rivals want to force him out by sponsoring insecurity.
