Zamfara records 767 fire incidents in 2020

The Zamfara State Fire Service says it recorded 767 fire incidents across the state with 16 deaths and properties worth millions of naira destroyed in the 2020.

This was disclosed by the Acting Director of the agency, Abdullahi Jibo Dauran, while briefing journalists on the activities of the Directorate in Gusau the state capital on Saturday.

Abdullahi appealed to people, particularly women in the state to always be cautious while handling fire, especially during this hammatan season.

He commended the state government for providing state of the art equipment for the Directorate to discharge its duties effectively.
