This vow was made by Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Nakwada, while briefing journalists in his office in Gusau, the state capital, on activities of the Dauda Lawal-led administration on Tuesday.

The SSG informed pressmen that the state had no intention of engaging any leader of bandits or their agent in discussion, whatsoever, in the name of peace deal that has never worked before.

Nakwada expressed the state government’s preparedness to, rather, pursue the bandits to wherever they are and crush them including their sponsors.

He further said the state government would work deligently in collaboration with security agencies to make sure that the fight against insecurity is taken to the doorstep of the bandits.

He said the past government under Mohammed Bello Matawalle wasted several billions of naira on white elephant projects that had no direct bearing on improving lives of the masses.

The SSG reiterated determination of the Zamfara State administration to recover all stolen properties of the state government.

He called on people of the state to cooperate with government on its policies and programmes,  saying they were aimed at reducing or alleviating sufferings of the masses.

He reassured of the determination of the government to face all the problems confronting the state, including associated with healthcare, education and total reconstruction of the state.
