The Zamfara State Governor, Alhaji Dauda Lawal-Dare, has strongly condemned Saturday’s attack on Sakiddar Magaji and Janbako communities in Maradun Local Government Area of the state.
He described the attack as barbaric and unwarranted aggression against innocent people.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Broadcast Media, Mublic and Press Affairs, Mallam Mustapha Jafaru Kaura, stated that the governor pledged that his administration will not fold its arms and allow criminal elements unleash terror without repercussions.
He stressed that the unfortunate incident came at a time when his government is working hard toward strategizing on how to bring an end to the protracted security problem in the state.
“A directive has been issued to the Heads of security Agencies in the state to as a matter of urgency deploy more security personnel to the affected communities to forestall further destruction of lives and properties in the area,” the statement added.
While condoling with the families of those who lost their loved ones, the state chief executive sympathized with the people injured in the attack and prayed to Allah (S.W.A.) to grant Aljannah Firdaus to those who lost their lives.
Governor Lawal-Dare said a high-powered delegation will be sent to the area to condole the deceased families and sympathize with the injured as part of the humanitarian gesture of his government..
