Why Saraki will defeat Atiku, Kwankwaso, others over PDP’s presidential ticket – Okupe

The former Special Assistant on Public Affairs to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Doyin Okupe, insisted on Thursday that the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki will emerge as the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Saturday.

Okupe, who had vowed during the reign of PDP to which he belonged that he should be called bastard if All Progressives survived two years as a party talk less of winning the 2015 general elections, said that Saraki is a quintessential leader with an intimidating track record of achievements.

He also stated that the pedigree of Saraki’s late father, Senator Olusola Saraki, will aid the Senate President in clinching PDP’s presidential ticket.

Okupe, who is the Chairman, Media Committee of Abubakar Bukola Saraki Presidential Campaign, in a statement said, “We have arrived the garden city where the presidential candidate of PDP will be elected. It is a great event that will determine and shape the future of Nigeria.

“His Excellency Dr. Bukola Saraki is a man that has been aptly described as a man for this season. A man that has inborn proclivity for leadership.

“He has an exemplary pedigree that is important for this type of post. His late father, Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki was a medical practitioner and Bukola Saraki is a medical doctor.”
