Why I shunned Presidential debate – Atiku

Nigeria’s former Vice President and Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, who together with his All Progressives Congress (APC) counterpart President Muhammadu Buhari was not present at the 2019 Presidential Debates Saturday night, has given reason he was not present at the debates.

Atiku said he decided not to participate in the debate due to the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari.

In the meantime, Atiku has challenged President Buhari to choose a date to debate with him.

Abubakar, on his twitter handle, challenged Buhari to come out and stop hiding by debating with him on issues pertaining to the nation.

“I, however, challenge President Buhari to choose a date and time for a debate where he will be present and I will be there, hopefully with the other candidates as well,” he aid.
