We did not arrest any CBN official – DSS

Department of State Services (DSS) has denied the recent reports of the arrest of a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Aisha Ahmad.
Gatekeepers News reports to the DSS, it has not arrested any current or former official of the apex bank in the last 48 hours.
The DSS made this clarification via its official Twitter handle after reports of Ahmad’s alleged arrest went viral on the internet on Thursday.
The reports suggested that she was arrested over an alleged fraudulent acquisition of shares in Polaris, Titan Trust, and Union banks.
However, the spokesman of the DSS, Dr Peter Afunanya, did not respond to inquiries when contacted earlier on the matter.
Nonetheless, on Thursday night, the DSS took to Twitter to write that, “The DSS did not, in the last 48 hours, arrest any former or present official of the CBN.”
