Twitter pulled down President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet and video where he warned that Nigerians “misbehaving” will be treated in “the language they will understand.”

Following the action, which is generally seen to be undermining existence of the country and its leader, Federal Government on Friday announced the indefinite suspension of the microblogging site.

In reaction to the decision, Hart stated that “The announcement made by the Nigerian Government that they have suspended Twitter’s operations in Nigeria is deeply concerning.

“We’re investigating and will provide updates when we know more.”

Twitter is embattled not only in Nigeria but also India and other places.

Recently, to achieve a peaceful and successful presidential election in Uganda, Twitter and Facebook had to be suspended by the nation’s authorities.

In India, the networking platform was told that it was welcomed to operate but must operate within the rules of the country.

In Nigeria, Twitter is seen clearly to be taking sides with terrorist Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) whose members have been killing security officers and setting police stations on fire as well as now extending its terror activities to killing innocent civilians in South East.

The Federal Government began to suspect the mission of the American social media networking platform when it discovered that tweets with terrorists cause the insecurity ravaging the land are left on undeleted but that the President’s tweets that only explained why those who are “misbehaving” to cause repeat of civil war must have a rethink, Twitters deleted it, even after it confirmed that the President did not breach any rules.
