The World’s Head Master: Nigeria’s Public Affairs Analyst response to Trump’s comment on Iran

During the US election campaign, I said vehemently that your re-election would make the world less peaceful and more dangerous. Unfortunately, from Russia/Ukraine (the war you were supposed to end “on day one”) to Israel/Gaza-Palestinian to Iran, you have and continue to prove me right. Tragically.

“Iran should have signed the “deal”, I told them to sign. …. IRAN CANNOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. … Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran”, US President Donald Trump quoted.

Yeah Right!!

Says the headmaster of the world.

You gave them a deal. You told them to sign it. No questions asked. Like your children or subjects. Like they are not a sovereign nation like your own nation.

A “deal” is a product of a negotiation between two parties after both sides have made their inputs and concessions and arrived at a consensus.

A deal is not a dictation by one person or party, no matter how powerful, which that one now expects another or the other party to just accept and sign. That would be tyranny and dictatorship.

You do not expect Iran or anyone to sign a deal that is not in their best national best interest, even with concessions. You wouldn’t sign a deal which is not in the United States’s interest or even in your own personal interest as we have come to see.

Meanwhile, you were the one who unilaterally pulled the United States out of the JCPOA, the Iran Nuclear deal negotiated and signed by several other nations, alongside the US and Iran, and essentially scuttled that deal. Why should Iran or any other nation even trust you?

You set a unilateral deadline of 60 days, a negotiation meeting was pre-scheduled for a few days after that and on the 61st day, Israel started bombing Iran over the same matter – another sovereign nation. You couldn’t stop Netanyahu. In fact you gave him the green light and tacit approval, while appearing to be uninvolved.

Now, when it appears to you that Israel is having an upper hand, you start threatening Iran. The same thing you are doing with Putin of Russia over Ukraine which he invaded without provocation – something your are reluctant to acknowledge.

You always knew that you would not stay till the end of the G7 Meeting, just like you didn’t the last time around.

As the arrogant non conformist and showman that you are, you did not want to be part of or abide by whatever resolutions they come up with. To cover up and draw attention to yourself, you make an early exit, only to go and make a bogus and hypocritical post on your personal social media platform.

The narcissist you are, you must seek to always put the attention on yourself, claim credits that do not belong to you and make yourself appear more important than you truly are; than everyone else.

A biased and unstable person cannot be a credible, legitimate, honest and sincere mediator.

Iran is not a model nation. Not by a long shot. Neither are you a model world leader.

I pity those who thought you were anything other than what you are – an arrogant, self conceited bully, and a narcissist who is poorly educated on world history and poorly grounded in international affairs and diplomacy.
