2023: Tambuwal steps down for Atiku, as PDP holds presidential primary election

Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, who is one of the presidential aspirants of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has stepped down for Atiku Abubakar.

Tambuwal announced his decision at the venue of the presidential primary of the party, which was still ongoing as at the time of filing this report Saturday evening.

“Time has come for us to make sacrifices in the interest of our party and our nation. I have come to the conclusion that I have to step down,” he said.
