Shortly after announcement of his suspension as Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Wednesday, Mr. AbdulRasheed Bawa, had gotten to be ‘guest’ of the Department of State Services (DSS).
The DEFENDER reports that Bawa, who had already arrived at the DSS office in Abuja, was there on invitation.
This has also been confirmed in a statement by Dr. Peter Afunaya, the Public Relations Officer of the DSS, copy of which was sent to The DEFENDER Wednesday night.
In the one paragraph statement, the DSS revealed that Bawa’s invitation was in connection with some investigative activities concerning him.
“The Department of State Services (DSS) has invited Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Bawa arrived a few hours ago. The invitation relates to some investigative activities concerning him,” it said.
