Suspected IPOB terrorists abduct Methodist Church Prelate, others in Abia

Suspected Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) terrorists have kidnapped the Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Samuel Kanu.

The cleric was abducted on Sunday along Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State, according to a media report.

As gathered, he was abducted with two others, Methodist Bishop of Owerri Rt. Rev. Dennis Mark and the Prelate’s Chaplain afternoon on their way from a programme in the council area.

The DEFENDER effort to get confirmation from the Abia State Police Command was not successful as at the time of filing this report as calls to the telephone of the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Geoffrey Ogbonna, late Sunday night was not picked.
