Senate confirms Bawa as EFCC Chairman

Abdulrasheed Bawa’s appointment as substantive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been confirmed.

This followed the screening of the nominee at the Committee of the Whole on Wednesday.

Bawa had at plenary, responded to questions from senators on his vision and mission for the commission.

During the plenary on Wednesday, Bawa, responding to a particular question, said he was neither arrested nor detained for corruption during his days as zonal head of the EFCC in Port Harcourt.
