RUSSIA-UKRAINE DAY 11: China says friendship with Russia still ‘rock solid’ as missiles continue to pound Ukraine

As the war in Ukraine enters its 11th day this Monday 7 March, 2022, China, in a statement by its foreign ministry, says its friendship with Russia is still ‘rock solid’, as missiles continue to pound the war-torn country.

This is as reported by Indiatoday.in while giving Russia-Ukraine war life updates.

Attempts to evacuate civilians from the besieged port city of Mariupol in southern Ukraine fell through as Moscow and Kyiv traded blame for ceasefire breaches. The war, now in its 11th day, has caused 1.5 million people to flee the country.

Meanwhile, the Russian military has warned Ukraine’s neighboring countries from hosting its warplanes, saying Moscow may consider them a part of the conflict if Ukrainian aircraft fly combat missions from their territory.

European Union leader Charles Michel has expressed reservations over Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s appeals to impose a no-fly zone over Ukrainian airspace, saying that doing so could spark a world war.

So far, The DEFENDER gathered that in one week, the United States of America and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) have provided Kyiv with more than 17,000 anti-tank weapons in one week, according to report.

The US has said that it will replace every Polish aircraft given to Ukraine in this fight with an American one.  But so far, Russia has already fired 600 missiles at Ukraine, according to the Pentagon.

The Japanese casualwear giant, Uniqlo, defended its decision to keep the Russian stores open even as rivals Zara and H&M suspend operations in the country following what Moscow call special military operation in Ukraine.

China will make active efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, said China’s Foreign Minister on Monday.
