Russia has no intention to deliver a nuclear strike on UK territory, Russian Ambassador to Great Britain Andrey Kelin said in an interview with the BBC on Sunday.
When asked about whether Russia could deliver a nuclear strike on Great Britain, the Russian envoy answered in the negative, saying that he didn’t think so.
When asked about whether Russia could employ tactical nuclear weapons in the conflict in Ukraine, Kelin stressed that Russia’s military doctrine did not allow doing that.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24 that he had made a decision to carry out a special military operation in Ukraine in response to a request from the heads of the Donbass republics for assistance. Following this, the United States, the European Union, Great Britain and some other states imposed large-scale sanctions on Russia.
