RAMADAN: Yari distributes 240 trucks of food items to less privileged in Zamfara

The former Governor of Zamfara state and Zamfara West Senator Elect, Hon. Abdul Aziz Yari Abubakar has distributed 240 trucks of assorted grains to APC party supporters and the people of the state for Ramadan fast.The items distributed included rice, guinea corn, maize, millet and sugar.

Addressing thousands of APC supporters during the distribution ceremony held in Talata-Mafara, local government his hometown, Yari said, each of the 14 local government areas would benefit with 10 trucks of the commodity.

While the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) will get 32 trucks, orphans 12 trucks, and other organizations would get 10 trucks.while 46 trucks would be distributed to the general public.

Yari stated that, the aim of the package was to enable the people of the state particularly the less privileged to perform the Ramadan fast with ease.

He called on those who were entrusted with the distribution of the items to fear God and give the groups the number of bags allocated to them.

He appeal to the leaders who will distribute the items to exhibit fear of Allah and give everyone his own share.

He assured that he would continue to assist his supporters and the less privileged in the society as long as Allah has given him the ability to do so.

He disclosed that he distributed over 170 trucks of assorted grains last year Ramadan fast

Yari called on APC supporters to continue to be law-abiding and respect the rules of the law,as leaders they continue to provide for their welfare.

He called on wealthy individuals in the society to provide to the needy in this month of Ramadan, for Allah is happy with those who assist others particularly the needies.

Speaking at the occasion the APC national vice chairman Northeast, Salihu Mustafa who represented the APC chairman commended former Governor Yari for his commendable efforts in assisting the party supporters and the less privileged in the society.
