President Buhari visits Zamfara State Thursday

President Muhammadu Buhari will pay a one-day official visit to Zamfara State, North West Nigeria, on Thursday 27 January, 2022.
Government of the state says it has made adequate arrangement for the presidential visit.
Speaking on the visit, the state Commissioner for Information and Chairman, Publicity Sub- Committee on the Presidential Visit, Alhaji Ibrahim Dosara, made this known in a statement issued in Gusau, the state capital copy of which was handed to our Correspondent, on Wednesday.
He said that state government have made adequate arrangement to receive the August visitor, adding that, security agencies have mapped out necessary security measure to ensure a hitch free event during the coming of the nation’s most powerful leader to the North West most affected state by bandit terrorism.
The statement warned people against carrying any weapon, including matches, knifes and sticks or any embarrassing banners.
Wrong parking of vehicles are also not allowed, as Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC)’s operative have been directed to tow away all violating vehicles and profile them for prosecution.
It added that Gusau being the state capital will be closed to motorists for as long as three hours that the visit will last, adding that all motor parks in Gusau will be shut down until after the President’s departure.
