President Buhari arrives Paris, received by Amb Irele, Anambra Governor, Willie Obiano, Malami, Fayemi, DG NIA Abubakar, others

President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, who departed the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, afternoon of Friday November 9, 2018 has safely arrived at the Airport in Paris, capital of France.
President Buhari, who is in the Francophone country to participate in the first edition of the Paris Peace Forum holding between November 11-13, 2018, was received on arrival by Nigerian Ambassador to France, Dr. Modupe Irele night of Friday November 9, 2018.
Also on ground, along with Ambassador Irele, to receive the President were, among others, Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, and his Katsina and Ekiti states counterparts, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari and Dr. Kayode Fayemi, respectively, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama, Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Malam Abubakar Malami, National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno, and the Director General, National Intelligence Agency, Mallam Ahmed Abubakar.
Organised by the French Government and a number of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), the Forum for which the President travelled is based on the “simple idea that international cooperation is key to tackling global challenges and ensuring durable peace.”
Buhari, who is Chairman, Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), will join the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres and other world leaders in discussing contributions towards global peace while underscoring the imperative of collective action.
