President Buhari appoints Fikpo substantive DG NDE, Issa Aremu DG Michael Imodu Institute of Labour Studies Ilorin

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo as the substantive Director General of the National Directorate of Employment.

Malam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, made this known in a statement issued on Tuesday and copy of which was sent to The DEFENDER.

Before his appointment, Mallam Fikpo was acting in that capacity. His appointment is for a period of four years effective from 18th May, 2021.

In addition, Shehu said, Mr. President also approved the appointment of Comrade Issa Aremu as the substantive Director of the Micheal Imodu National Institute For Labour Studies.

Before his appointment, Comrade Aremu has been a notable Trade Unionist who has risen through the ranks in the Trade Union hierarchy in Nigeria. His appointment is for a period of four years effective from 18th May, 2021.
