Pictorial representations of Nigeria’s 61st Independence Day celebration in Abuja

*As President Buhari, VP Osinbajo, Ex-President Jonathan, others make presence

President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, Vic President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), Senator President Ahmed Lawan made presence as the country’s 61st Independence Anniversary was celebrated at Eagle Square, Abuja, on Friday 1 October 2021.

Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, former Head of State General Abdulsalaam Abubakar, Chief of Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Tanko Ibrahim Muhammad, Speaker House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila, Minister of Interior Rauf Aregbesola and Minister of Information Lai Muhammed were among those in attendance.

All the Service Chiefs were also in attendance at the very colourful event that had the nation’s glamorous cultures and military colours paraded to the cheers of all.
