People with certificates without knowledge believe, spread anything, Prof. Kamal Bello says reflecting on Tinubu’s France trip, Lekki killings, Nnamdi Kanu videos, audio propaganda

By BASHIR ADEFAKA

One of refined Nigerians, whose hearts bleed due to concerted efforts by supposed media institutions, practitioners, human rights lawyers and activists to destabilize Nigeria through peddling of fake news and hate speeches, Professor Kamal Bello, has described recent events, where some agents of destabilization used #ENDSARS as vehicle to achieve their aim, as unfortunate.

The university don and member of Board of Trustees (BoT), Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) said it was not a surprise that those that participated in the condemnable acts were educated.

He added that people, who glorify their possession of certificates without attaching importance to putting knowledge learned into practice, do what they like hence reason education has not helped in the development of Nigeria.

Professor Bello made this known in his Facebook post, while expressing his sadness at the recent #ENDSARS protests, thought to be a peaceful and genuine expression by citizens against the brutality and atrocities that some overwhelming population in the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) had perpetrated against the same Nigerians they were meant to protect.

He looked at the sad inclusion of fake news and hate speeches as major tool to incite ethnic and international angers against the administration in Nigeria and the only defence standing for any nation when others fail or weaken, the Nigerian Army, to turn attention away from killings, maiming and arsons that the elements perpetrated against fellow citizens and public and private assets.

He said they unfortunately did this while pretending to do peaceful protests and concluded that the populace was gullible to have bought into the whole idea, which sought to throw away the baby with bath water and still went ahead to further dig ground for final burial of the wronged baby. Meaning initiators of #ENDSARS were wrong to ask for disbandment as against total reformation of the police.

Bello, who had last week told The DEFENDER that Yoruba destroying Asiwaju Bola Tinubu under pretext of #ENDSARS protests was big mistake, said he had never believed any of the videos posted on Tinubu’s traveling out to France amidst protests, likewise the audio on Nnamdi Kanu directing IPOB members to destroy Nigeria and videos on Lekki Toll Gate massacre without a single dead body to show.

“From day one I didn’t believe Jagaba went to France because that video they used to support it looks fake. The same thing with the one on Kanu directing IPOB members to destroy Nigeria. Ditto for the killings  at Lekki toll gate. But since we have gullible minds in Nigeria with certificates in different sizes and colors but no knowledge and no wisdom they can believe in anything and spread anything.”

It will be recalled Professor Kamal Bello was published last week in The DEFENDER, ventilating the sadness of the North that the South would always create problem for Nigeria any time a Northerner is President in order not to make him end well.

Some other Nigerians described what happened in the South West and South, particularly in Lagos, as result of a bounce back of conspiracy to cause destabilize the country to spite President Muhammadu Buhari but which hit back on the initiators.

The quick reactions and condemnations from United States, United Nations and some neighbouring African countries, focusing only on Lekki Till Gate killings that never was in blaming the Federal Government, further exposed the conspiracy in collaboration with foreign interests.

In the meantime, a demand has gone to the US and UN to withdraw their condemnations of the Nigerian Government based on the fake news on the Lekki Till Gate massacre.
