PDP Senators jittery, as Ben Bruce cries out over NASS “siege”

“How can you PDP politicians be the starters of a fight and at the same time you are now the ones crying out and not only just crying out but crying out to international communities to come to your rescue?  Rescue you from yourselves or from whom? You guys should stop embarrassing us.  Those countries you cry to also have their own political challenges, not even the ones that you are the major creators of and which are now bouncing back upon your heads and you are now the first to cry.  No way,” he said in his reaction to Ben Bruce.

The ranks of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) particularly in the National Assembly may have been affected by the current reprisal defections going on between the nation’s two leading political parties, the PDP and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This is as the man who holds the PDP’s documents in the Senate and former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, has made up his mind to dump the former ruling party, which has continued to fight the battles against its March 28, 2015 electoral defeat, and move to the party of the Change, the APC.

Not only the mere defection of Akpabio is causing the jittery within the ranks of the party but also the fact that the former governor would not go alone is the more frustrating aspect of the political disaster about to reign a tsunami thereby sweeping the party which only recently, at the celebration of APC senators defections at NASS said to have been orchestrated by one-man interest of Senate President Bukola Rasaki, had laughed so loudly against the ruling Party.

Like the saying that “he that laughs last laughs best”, the APC that was first hit by the harvest of defection started by PDP and their “moles” said to have being within the APC thinking they are part of the ruling party for as long as the age of the administration, appears to now be the one having the last laugh as even the starter of the self-based defection, Saraki, and his main man, Dino Melaye, appear to be regretting their actions.

Another of the senators is the one from Bayelsa, Ben Murray-Bruce, WHO has cried out over the reported siege laid on the National Assembly blaming it on Senator Godswill Akpabio and other senators of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said they are behind the DSS siege of the National Assembly.

Senator Bruce, who had played leading roles in what have been generally condemned as mischievous and misleading anti-IGP blackmailing video of recent time and evasion of court arraignment by Senator Dino Melaye on claim of kidnap, said they would make sure that countries like the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, among others revoke the visas of senator Akpabio and his cohorts as well as their wives and children.

He said his PDP group would resist any attempt by the APC senators to effect any leadership change in the Senate.

‎”It has come to our attention that we’re being invaded by state security. Our colleagues can’t go to work after we adjourned for summer holiday. We’ve been informed that the APC senator are trying to effect a leadership change.

“This is anti democracy. We’re going to ask western democracy. We’ll ask the western countries to revoke the visas of Sen Akpabio. We’ll ask them to revoke the class of their wives. Let nobody test me or this institution.

“We’ll submit the names of DSS officials and that of Akpabio to the western embassies. I hope this anti democracy forces love Nigeria, so they won’t travel out of the country for a very long time.

“Akpabio will have to sell his aircraft and thereafter I’ll have to buy him a donkey so that he can use it.”

A respondent however lambasted Bruce and his likes for always whipping sentiments over a fight that they own.
