Oyo govt announces date, state burial for late Olubadan

The late Olubadan of Ibadan Land, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, is to be given a state burial on Friday, August 8, as approved by the Oyo State government.

This was contained in a statement signed by his first son, Prince Olasunmbo Owolabi Olakulehin, and made available to journalists in Ibadan by the Olakulehin royal family.

He stated Tuesday that the 43rd Olubadan will be given a State Burial with the church service and interment taking place at the Cathedral of Saint Peters, Aremo, Ibadan from 10:00am.

Prince Olakulehin said preceding the state burial will be a series of activities including events rescheduled for the official 21-day mourning period of the traditional ruler.
