Oshiomhole disowns Amaechi, Says party not in alliance with AAC
The All Progressive Congress (APC)’s National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has distanced himself from the claims that the party is working in alliance with AAC to win River State governorship election.
He told TVC that he is unaware of such development as, according to him, he and other party members have never discussed or heard about it.
This was as captured in a video watched by The DEFENDER on Saturday.
Information in circulation has been that Minister of Transport, Mr. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi-led APC faction in Rivers State had adopted the AAC and had therefore directed its supporters to vote en masse for its candidate at the last governorship election in the state.
Corroborating this information on a Channels Television’s Politics Today programme, recently, was Mr. Chidi Lloyd, an APC chieftain who said the party leadership had adopted AAC’s candidate as a way out of total loss caused by court’s stopping the APC from feeding candidate in the election.
Governor Nyesom Wike, believed to be jittery of facing opposition in the all-important election, had recently been fingered as using Senator Godwin Abbe to stoke up the intra-party necessitating the factionalisation leading to members resorting to court.
