Olonisakin decorates 13 newly promoted senior Defence Hqts’ officers
The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin has decorated 13 newly promoted senior officers serving in the Defence Headquarters in recognition of their hard work, dedication to duty and loyalty to the country.
Among the officers promoted to the new ranks are Brigadier General Abiodun Bolarinwa, Brigadier General Victor Ebhaleme, Brigadier General Olufemi Odunuga and Brigadier General GB Audu.
Also, Six Lieutenant Colonels were elevated to the rank of Colonel, an Air Force Squadron Leader was promoted to the rank of Wing Commander while two Navy Lieutenant Commanders were promoted to Commander.
Represented at the official decoration ceremony by the Chief of Policy and Planning, Defence Hequarters, Air Vice Marshal Bashir Saidu, the CDS charged the newly promoted officers to justify their promotions by working harder and by exhibiting exemplary character in their various offices.
He reminded them to bear in mind that to ‘whom much is given, much is expected.’
