NIGERIAN YOUTHS, WHERE IS THE VALUE OF YOUR EDUCATION? YUSUF ILEMOBOLA ABDULHAKEEM ASKS IN NEW POST

“Even if the government is not perfect, our patience would have perfected it in the long run. What a waste generation we are turning to! We had been patient in the past to tolerate our bad leaders, but the virtue we lack now is the patience to tolerate a good one. And that’s where the future of our children lie.”

Dear Nigerian youths! What are we turning to?! How do we reason? Why are we blind by tribalism, religion, and intolerant of one another? If the so called education we claim to have doesn’t liberate us from ignorance, bigotry and sentimentalities, then our education is of no use because we have successfully wasted the major part of our supposedly productive lives.

Our overreaction to simple mistakes of this government makes speaks volumes of our ‘educated society’. HOW CAN WE TOLERATE THIEVES FOR 16 YEARS AND CAN NOT TOLERATE AN HONEST MAN FOR 3 YEARS?

Are we honestly kidding that miracles should be performed in just 3 years against decades of bad leadership? How are we different from the people of the book who used to bother their prophets with miracles out of their impatience? I hope our fate would not be similar to theirs out of our impatience too.

Even if the government is not perfect, our patience would have perfected it in the long run. What a waste generation we are turning to! We had been patient in the past to tolerate our bad leaders, but the virtue we lack now is the patience to tolerate a good one. And that’s where the future of our children lie.

Do you think America and Europe became what they are overnight? No, go and read history and don’t be deceived. They also went through their own difficulties in the past, even with civil wars. We should be warned, and not be brainwashed by the same people who put us where we are today!

A word is enough for the wise!
