NDLEA Commander visits Sarkin Fulani of Lagos, decorates him with agency’s ambassadorial award

He said the purpose of the visit was part of effort of the anti-drug agency to partner with traditional institutions at all levels across the country, the Hausa-Fulani community in Lagos more essentially inclusive.
The Commander, Lagos Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Abubakar Liman Wali, paid a courtesy be visit to the Sarkin Fulani of Lagos, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Bambado II.

He said the purpose of the visit was part of effort of the anti-drug agency to partner with traditional institutions at all levels across the country, the Hausa-Fulani in Lagos more essentially inclusive.
While on the visit, he presented the Sarkin Fulani with some plaques of honour in recognition of his contributions to making the society drug free and an anti-drug ambassador of the agency.
He was accompanied with members of the top echelon of his command.
Responding to the visiting NDLEA Commander, the Sarkin Fulani of Lagos said, “On behalf of the Arewa Community in Lagos and the Lagos State Council of Arewa Chiefs, I extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Commander of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Lagos Command, and his esteemed delegation for this honorable courtesy visit.
“Your visit is a symbol of unity, mutual respect, and shared responsibility in the pursuit of a peaceful, law-abiding, and drug-free society. We deeply appreciate the vital role the NDLEA continues to play in combating drug abuse and trafficking, especially in a dynamic city like Lagos.
“As traditional leaders, we remain committed to supporting your efforts through community engagement, enlightenment campaigns, and collaboration aimed at preventing substance abuse, especially among the youth.
“We believe that with strong partnerships between security agencies and traditional institutions, we can create lasting positive change.

“We pray for continued wisdom, strength, and success for you and your team in your noble service to our nation.
“Thank you once again for this important visit. May our collaboration grow stronger in the interest of peace, security, and progress,” Sarki Bambado ll said.
