Hussain said he was confident of victory at the polls, saying his victory has been stamped by the people of the district whom he described as progressives.
He attributed his soaring popularity and wide experience in politics as factors that would earn him victory. He said the claim could be put to test with the number of people that usually throng the venues of his campaigns.
Hussain said the people of the district have demonstrated high sense of love to him and his party as this could be measured in supports and cooperation received over the years by the Governor Rauf Aregbesola led administration in the state.
He described the All Progressives Congress, APC as the most successful party in the political history of Nigeria, saying no stone would be left unturned in putting smiles to his constituents if returned to senate.

He added, “Our people have opened doors of victory for us. They have sustained their loyalty in our party. They have demonstrated huge support in all ramifications.
“We have seen these gestures in their disposition and warm reception at all times will have the course to meet them.
“I was in the senate between 2011 to 2015 before I was asked to pave way for the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke who held the position since then till his death.
“You all know that I am well known in politics. I am not a political novice and I have the wherewithal to return to the senate.
“When I was there as your senator, you all knew what I did. I am ready to build on these good works. I will represent you all diligently and ensure that nothing but your interests take prominence in all circumstances”.
