Muniru Jaafaru’s son, Sulaiman, weds

The Madakin Zazzau, His Highness Malam Muhammadu Muniru Jaafaru (MMMJ)’s son, Sulaiman Jaafaru, got married Friday to Khadija Saleh Sabo, daughter of late former Chief Medical Director of Federal Medical Centre, Bauchi, Dr. Saleh Sabo.

Khadija, mothered by Hajiya Rakiya Sabo, hails from Bauchi, Bauchi State, North East Nigeria, is one of five children of her parent and studies medical laboratory science at premier institution, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Sulaiman, a royal blood of one of all-important Emirates of Northern Nigeria, is a graduate of Baze University, Abuja and staff of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Security Authority (NIMASA).

Sulaiman, who was best by Capt. Ibrahim Baba Mohammed at the wedding event, is grandson of 16th Emir of Zaria, His Royal Highness Alhaji Jaafaru Dan Isyaku, and son of a very influential and prominent Nigerian of the Kaduna, North West Nigeria extractions, Malam Munir Jaafaru, a lawyer, technocrat, administrator, is also a former Director General, NIMASA and Chairman of Nigerian Unity Bank.

Friday’s wedding event, held at Zangon Shanu Jumat Mosque, Zaria, was well attended with creme de la creme of the society in attendance.

They included, among others, two former Governors of Kaduna State, Alhaji Ahmed Makarfi and Alhaji Ramalan Yaro, a former chief judge, members of the military community, Zaria traditional title holders, groom’s colleagues at MIMASA and school mates of the Zaria Academy days.
