More solidarity visits pour in support of new APC leadership in Zamfara

The newly inaugurated All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership in Zamfara, under the Chairmanship of Honourable Tukur Umar Danfulani, has continued to receive overwhelming solidarity visits, support and advice from well meaning citizens in the state, the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Malam Yusuf Idris Gusau, says.

The spokesman said, “The latest of such visits were made today by a delegation of Imams and Islamic scholars from Rawayya ward led by Mallam Babangida Sayyadi, Comrade Jamilu Aliyu Zannah  Foundation led by Alhaji Jamilu Aliyu, In Bakayi Bamu Wuri Group led by Kabiru Muhammad and the leadership and members of the states chapter of IPAC led by Alhaji Rabiu Salisu Bature.”

According to a statement he sent to The DEFENDER, SPS Gusau said: “The groups which took their turns at the state secretariat of the party along Sokoto By-Pass road, Gusau extended their congratulatory and solidarity messages to the new leaders and commended the smooth manner in which the congresses were peacefully conducted from the ward to local governments up to the state level and gave birth to the emergence of the new executives.

“They noted that if elections will be conducted in such peaceful and rancour free atmosphere, there will be no litigations after elections.

“They urged the new leaders especially the chairman to carry everybody along by demonstrating fairness, justice and ensuring the wellbeing of the members.

“They also advised the chairman to use the opportunity of having new and young blood in the leadership by tapping and encouraging new initiatives and ideas that will add value to the party in the state.”

Similarly, on their own part, the new leaders led by the State Chairman Honourable Tukur Umar Danfulani have continued with the visit to political leaders and elders in the state, including Alhaji Musa Mallaha, the former Deputy Chairman of the party Alhaji Ahmadu Namadam, as well as Alhaji Namadi Zakari, who is currently bed ridden.

According to the statement, the elders expressed optimism and confidence in the new leaders and offered their prayers for the success of the leadership while assuring their continued moral and other forms of support to the leaders.

They noted that having pulled all responsible leaders and elders into the new political movement in the state, the APC in Zamfara will grow stronger with more chances of success in future elections.

They charged the new leaders to rally round Governor Mohammmed Bello Matawalle, who is now the political leader in the state, and that they should continue to bring everyone together to ensure that the APC-led government under Matawalle succeeds for the betterment of the state and its good people.

The events were attended by the APC State Secretary, Alhaji Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima, Organising Secretary, Alhaji Bashir Ahmad, Welfare Secretary, Alhaji Bashir Idris Ataka, State APC Youth leader, Alhaji Musa Ardo Idris and State Women leader, Hajiya Aisha Waziri Maru.

Others include Alhaji Bello Mahe, Assistant Organising Secretary, Alhaji Junaidu Attahiru Dosara, Assistant Publicity Secretary, Hon. Ibrahim Maaji, Honourable Adviser to the Governor on Political Affairs, and his Director General, Hon. Mikailu Aliyu among others.
