More about Buhari’s ‘goodies for Nigerian teachers’ revealed

In addition to reported approval of special salary scheme and newly adjusted number of service years by President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, his Digital and Social Media Aide, Lauretta Onochie, has given more of the packages.

According the report, teachers will now spend 40 as against 35 years in service before retirement.

She said the package approved also included free education for children of the teachers.

Also, she said her boss approved “Automatic employment for graduate teachers and retirement age for teachers, extended from 60 years to 65 years.”

This, she enthused, is the type of restructuring Nigeria needs, she said.
