“In Nigeria, those political elites, media and other local collaborators working with them to celebrate Boko Haram attacks on security agents only to raise human rights issue whenever security agents overpower terrorists, they should realise that they must have a country to be in peace. If you join some self-centered foreign and local interests to destroy our collectively owned Nigeria, you will need to create your own country to have peace,” he said.

The attitude by which some Nigerian or Nigeria-based elements raise human rights issue when terrorists are brought down by troops has been described as too bad behaviour that need to stop.

A source, adding that terrorists have no rights, said this to The DEFENDER in his reaction to news following the deadly blow dealt to kidnappers and criminal elements that have been terrorizing travelers passing through Kogi State for sometimes now.

The news about success of troops over the terrorists, contained in a statement from Kogi State Government, was revealed Sunday night, announcing that motorists plying the Abuja/Lokoja highway can now heave a sigh of relief.

According to the statement, men of the Nigerian Army from the 177 Battalion and the Army Records Lokoja with supports from local vigilantes have cleared the camp of Darusalam, a terror group that has been carrying out its heinous operations on the border between Kogi and Nasarawa states for over eight years.

Darusalam camp, which is located at Ittu, comprises over 2,000 kidnappers, bandits and Boko Haram elements that have been responsible for most of the kidnappings and criminal activities perpetrated along the Abuja-Lokoja highway, the statement said.

The DEFENDER could not get the side of the Nigerian Army High Command on this latest cheering news, as Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Sagir Musa, was believed to be away in one of the bushes with the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai ensuring an end to all the madness called Boko Haram, bandits and other criminals in the North East, North West and North Central.

The statement from Lokoja however said one of the suspects was shot dead while attempting to escape during the military clearing operations.

The logistics supports of the Kogi State Governor, Mr. Yahaya Bello, to the Nigerian Army helped in no small measure in the success recorded by men of the Nigerian Army in this latest operation, the statement said.

The DEFENDER reports that some patriotic citizens are complaining about activities of some nongovernmental organisations in the country, which they believe are rather aiding the continued terrorisation of the land than ending it as they sound to be doing.

Our findings have revealed the need for Nigerian government to place whatever foreign supplied humanitarian organisations and their local collaborators under security surveillance.

The source, who warned against his identity being revealed, said, “When some people complained and the media that should provide guidance and knowledge to their complaining minds rather join them, I just laugh. Yes. I laugh because I see in the whole of the things they do together a set of people who utter words to be doing the great job they do not actually do.

“Now, we are told by foreign supporters that we should provide maximum security support to humanitarian organisations operating in the North East. The question is, operating in the North East doing what? We have reports of how this terrorism is fueled by these same people we are being compelled to provide security for.

“If you study the terrorism issue by ISIS in Syria very well, you would understand that there is really no difference between what happened there or anywhere and what is happening here. Foreign hands are involved and yet these foreign bodies would be heard loudly to say they have zero tolerance for terrorism. How?

“Let me be frank with you, what fueled Coronavirus that became global menace is the same cause that has been fueling terrorism particularly in Nigeria, other West African states and the Middle East. If you hear their complaining statements about why Coronavirus deaths were far low in black Africa, you would need no further worry to research. It is all about running down sitting governments to enable them install their cronies within and with whom they will assert their grip on political, social and economic control of the country.
