Massive Zamfara APC Stakeholders Present Appreciation Letter to Tinubu over Yari’s Campaign Appointment

Speaking at the Government House, Dr. Lawal liman who spoke on behalf of the APC support groups, described Senator Yari’s appointment as a strategic decision that would strengthen the party’s chances of victory in the 2027 elections.

Thousands of All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders, support groups and supporters in Zamfara State have embarked on a solidarity walk to the Government House in Gusau to express appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar as Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections.

The stakeholders, led by the Chairman of the AA Yari Political Organisation, Dr. Lawal M. Liman, commenced the walk from the Gusau Trade Fair Complex and proceeded to the Zamfara State Government House, where they presented a letter of appreciation to Governor Dauda Lawal for onward transmission to President Tinubu.

Speaking at the Government House, Dr. Lawal liman who spoke on behalf of the APC support groups, described Senator Yari’s appointment as a strategic decision that would strengthen the party’s chances of victory in the 2027 elections.

He expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for entrusting the former Zamfara State Governor with the responsibility of coordinating the party’s presidential campaign.

Dr. liman said the appointment reflected President Tinubu’s confidence in Senator Yari’s political experience, organisational capacity, strategic insight and commitment to the unity and progress of the APC.

He noted that Senator Yari’s experience as a two-term governor of Zamfara State, coupled with his extensive grassroots political network and understanding of Nigeria’s political landscape, would be valuable in coordinating the party’s campaign across the country.

The chairman said APC support groups were confident that Senator Yari’s ability to mobilise stakeholders, engage diverse political interests and promote unity would contribute significantly to the party’s campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Dr. assured President Tinubu that the AA Yari Political Organisation, Shehi Movement, Yari 774 Initiative and other APC support groups in Zamfara State were ready to work under Senator Yari’s leadership to mobilise support and strengthen grassroots engagement.

He said the groups would take the APC’s campaign message to wards, local government areas and communities across Zamfara State and beyond.

Dr. lawal M. Liman Gabdon Kaura also called for unity, sacrifice and collective commitment among APC members and supporters, saying the task ahead required all stakeholders to work together for the success of the party.

In a remark, the APC State Chairman in Zamfara State, Kabiru Moyi Birnin-Magaji, also assured the party’s readiness to secure victory for President Tinubu and Governor Dauda Lawal in the 2027 elections.

He said the Zamfara APC was united and prepared to work towards victory for all its candidates.

Receiving the letter on behalf of Governor Dauda Lawal, the Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Mani Malam Mummuni assured Senator Abdulazeez Yari of the state government’s full support in discharging his responsibilities as Director-General of the campaign.

The Deputy Governor described Senator Yari as a person of integrity who had demonstrated commitment to supporting less privileged members of society and contributing to the development of the state.

He promised that, the letter would be transmitted to President Bola Ahmad Tinubu.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Talata Mafara Local Government Area, Yahaya Yari, said the people of Zamfara State had reasons to support President Tinubu, citing federal interventions and development programmes, including the NG-CARES initiative in the state.

Among those who participated in the solidarity walk were the member representing Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Abdulmalik Zubairu; member representing Tsafe/Gusau Federal Constituency, Kabiru Ahmadu Mai-Palace, Chairman of APC in Gusau Local Government Area, Babangida Abdullahi Tsafe, former APC chairmen Danfulani Maikatako as well as chairmen of the 14 local government areas of the state.

The supporters, who carried APC flags throughout the procession, displayed their commitment to mobilising support for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
