Adedoyin said, “Winning the hearts of right thinking masses costs not much. Just do things which surprise them and which are positive. Once they see you as a man of justice and leader with kindness and love of the weak at heart, you have their hearts to your side and that is major. And it is major because, they are watching the corrupt people they sent out of power are scheming to come back and they want assurance to be able to stand firm continuously in ensuring that their rebranded corruption does not see the light of the day.”
Some concerned Nigerians, who wrote as Concerned Group and Lovers of President Muhammadu Buhari, have called on the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs and The Dispora Matters, Honourable Abike Dabiri-Erewa, to as a matter of urgency carry to her boss their advice over what they think should be done for the Libya returnees, differently from how such people were treated in the Administration that he ousted.
In an off-record attachment to the letter, the group explained that it chose to involve the President’s aide, Abike Dabiri-Erewa in what they wanted because of the vitality they wanted to be voted to it.
In a letter addressed to The DEFENDER for the purposes of being transmitted through reports to the President’s “energetic aide”, Abike, the group’s spokesman, Mr. Fusi Adedoyin, said President Muhammadu Buhari had got many opportunities for him to show even enemies that he was different from Jonathan and some of these opportunities embed in the need for him to, within what is left for this year 2017 to end, catch Nigerians by surprise by properly settling the Libya returnees down devoting some money for that purpose.
The other, according to the group, is to review the Goodluck Jonathan-led PDP Federal Government’s selective pardon that favoured only Lt. Gen. Oladipo Diya described as the lead player in a fathomed coup and Jonathan’s godfather Diepreiye Alaiyemeseigha while leaving, particularly, former Minister of Communications, Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju and two other officers out of the presidential favour. He urged the President to therefore pardon what has now become the Tajudeen Olanrewaju group as, according to the group, there are many Nigerian followers of political parties, tribes and religions, who are waiting on the watch to change their minds in favour of the President if he does these two surprises.

The letter read in details: “On behalf of the Concerned Group & The Lovers of President Muhammadu Buhari, I am suggesting that the President uses the opportunity of the deportees from Libya to gain more popularity and confidence of lost hope citizens of Nigeria. While doing this, he should also take Nigerians by surprise by once and for all addressing the perceived injustice done by Goodluck Jonathan-led PDP’s Federal Government to former Minister of Communications, Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju and two others, who were left out in the presidential pardon where they pardoned Diya, the lead player in the said coup, Alaiyemieseigha, and others while leaving this general and other officers in the cold.
“What I am saying about the Libya returnees is that, the President should try and do something about them by empowering them because they are back to de country with nothing and most of them sold all they have to embark on the modern slavery journey unknowingly, thinking they have found a way to the land of honey. This will bring more confidence that Mr. President is not what they think he is but a man who has come to savage a dying country and see that all citizens of this country can begin to live a better life than what it was during the past administration, whose corruption made them choose to run away from their legitimate land to the foreign land of hell.
“As we all know majority of the victims are from Southeast, South south, and South West of which we all know 2019 is just by the corner. We want all and sundry to vote Mr. President like they did in 2015 because our politicians can’t be relied upon as they can rock the boat and we still need the service of our President, President Muhammadu Buhari, in Nigeria.
“God bless this country Nigeria! God bless President Muhammadu Buhari!! ‘Say Baba ‘!” The group wrote.
