The President has ordered the military to crush the bandits again!
This is like the 3rd time in 5 months this is being said.
Those saying President Muhammadu Buhari is running after Nnamdi Kanu (Igbo) and Sunday Igboho (Yoruba), and protective of bandits (Hausa-Fulani) are only flying the tribal kite! It holds no water! And they will now pounce on every leader from different tribes in Nigeria currently serving in the government to blackmail them, especially the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, the second in command from the South-West Nigeria, who they often claim are not supporting their idiocy!
The first person arrested by the Buhari-Osinbajo government, a militia leader threatening the peace of Nigeria is *Ibrahim El-Zakzaky*, a Northerner, from President Buhari’s Hausa-Fulani clan (tribe).
Now, whoever even likens bandits or say Boko Haram to Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho or the El-Zakzaky they aren’t talking about is clownish and in the dark! Such a person is unadvised, uneducated and unknowledgeable as far the Nigerian issue is concerned.
Let’s review this terror game under the human rights guise!
El-Zakzaky, a Northerner, in the like of Kanu, Igboho – all insurrectionism unified
The reason the mischief makers aren’t playing up El-Zakzaky again, is, so, their tribal song can have a melody!
Threesome threatening Nigeria’s sovereignty
Looking at it critically, El Zakzaky, Kanu, and Igboho are the threesome threatening the sovereignty of Nigeria – in that they are *warlords* in stand-alone operations with their ethnic militia, revolting against constituted authorities – aiming to wrest power from the Nigerian legitimate and sovereign leaders, who have sworn to protect and defend the territorial integrity of Nigeria.
The trio are known leaders of terror groups hiding under human rights statutes and desired to move freely as normal citizens — they have known addresses within Nigeria. They are the ones threatening the human rights of innocent Nigerians. They have caused the deaths of many!
Let’s take note: Now, as monstrous human beings, they, with their attitude are threatening the human rights of innocent Nigerians to the point of causing needless deaths of the people they claimed to be representing, with no formal right of representation in the first instance. No one made them representatives of the people. They are outlaws and MUST be stopped and made to face the wrath of the law.
They are gun-runners
Let’s reason it out, the followers of the trio of El-Zakzaky, Kanu and Igboho carry guns illegitimately. These felons are gunrunners, nihilists and syndicalists – professed anarchists breeding vociferous armed mob, who have killed and caused the death of innocent Nigerians unnecessarily! No human right statutes protects rebels. So, the government is in order to crush them!
Bandits have no central leader like El-Zakzaky, Kanu, Igboho
Who is the Nigerian leader of bandits that the Federal Government ought to have gone after that it didn’t? Bandits are simply known to be armed thieves, robbers and criminals – they aren’t representatives of any tribe in Nigeria, though for a tribal narrative, they call them Fulani. Yes, Fulani are there plus members of other tribes too.
The practice of pounding in gangs – banditry cuts across every geopolitical region of Nigeria, and not peculiar with any particular tribe. It is a narrative designed by the bellicose tribalists and secessionists in Southern Nigeria.
Boko Haram, Sekau already declared terrorists
Where Shekau is different is, he has never flaunted any human rights to justify his action. He doesn’t have a known address like El Zakzaky, Kanu and Igboho, who live inside palatial mansions where they keep ready-for-war amouries*
No one knows where Shekau stays, and he had even declared his [own] actions unjust with his underground operations and he is not claiming any right like the other criminal trio.
The Federal Government has equally declared him wanted since! And soldiers have not stopped bombing the terrorists in their hideouts! Shekau was even reportedly killed recently – and his fellow criminals, ISWAP, even said they ended his era!
Myetti Allah is not like IPOB
Miyetti Allah is an organisation that was properly registered in Nigeria since the early 70s.
It is a group, that represents the interests of a defined body in the North, just like Afenifere represents an interest in the South West and Ohanaeze Ndigbo does so in the South-East, likewise Arewa in same North with Miyetti Allah.
The distinction in Miyetti Allah is, it is a Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, also known as MACBAN, a partisan advocacy group promoting the welfare of Fulani pastoralists in Nigeria. It is headquartered in Kaduna with known executive members. They don’t have any known armoury or army of gunrunners or militia like Kanu’s IPOB.
Only in March, the South-East chapter of the Miyetti Allah declared support for Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano’s pronouncement of treating any herder illegally possessing firearms as a criminal.
Kanu’s IPOB never supported the government moving against terrorists, bandits and criminals. In fact, IPOB’s identity is crime. And it has since been declared a terrorist group by a Nigerian court.
Gidago Sidikki, representing Miyetti Allah in the South-East, reacting to Obiano’s order to the police and other security agencies to treat any herder found in possession of an AK-47 rifle as an armed robber, backed the governor publicly.
Obiano said the order would be in force after the state had taken a headcount of herders in the state, and Miyetti Allah agreed! So, we won’t liken this group to IPOB, it is a misnomer and an unnecessary distraction!
For the record, a Federal High Court in Abuja, on January 18, 2018, declared Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a pro-secessionist group a terrorist organization.
So, people are circulating *LIES*, and making unintelligible comparisons simply to discredit the government and sway uninformed and gullible Nigerians to justify their tribal codswallop!
