*As Joke Orelope, Ojudu’s daughter, 12 others make list of new SSAs

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed the Head of Service (HoS) of Lagos State, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, as Principal Private Secretary (PPS) in his new list 15 appointments.

The DEFENDER reports that Hakeem Muri-Okunola, 51 and lawyer, joined the civil service of Lagos State in 2001 when he was appointed Personal Assistant to the Governor during the administration of Bola Tinubu.

Four years after in 2005, Tinubu appointed him Executive Secretary of the Land Use and Allocation Committee.

Six years after joining the service, he was promoted Permanent Secretary.

He was later appointed the Head of Service in December 2018.

Also on the new list of Tinubu’s new appointees is Moremi Ojudu, first daughter of Senator Babafemi Ojudu, the immediate past Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters.

Moremi Ojudu, who supported the Tinubu’s campaign, is by her new appointment Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement in the South West.

Others include Tanko Yakasai, Chioma Nweze, Abiodun Essiet, Abdulhamid Yahaya Abba, who are now to serve as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement in the other five respective geographical zones.

Yakasai is for North West, Essiet North Central, Nweze South East, Yahaya Abba North East.

The appointment batch also showed that former Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Sustainable Development Goals, Mrs Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, has been re-appointed to serve the same office.

It will be recalled that Orelope-Adefulire is also former Deputy Governor of Lagos State.

Although none of presidential media office officials contacted was able to confirm this new set of appointments as at the time of filing this report, family of one of the appointees confirmed to The DEFENDER their daughter has been appointed.

We, however, gathered thatvthe appointments were done through the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).
