Gov Umahi dumps PDP for APC
Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Dave Umahi, has put paid to his long speculated defection to All Progressives Congress (APC) as he finally dumped Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Muhammadu Buhari-led governing party on Tuesday.
Governor Umahi claims the South East zone has suffered injustice in the PDP.
The DEFENDER reports that the governor had told the national leadership of the PDP in Ebonyi Lodge, Abuja last week that his decision to join the APC was irrevocable.
He added that it is only in APC South East presidency can be a reality, adding that the only condition for him to believe the Uche Secondus-led PDP National Working Committee (NWC) meeting to plead with him to stay back was for it to declare that it would zone its presidency to the South East, a big question the party has been unable to answer.
